  • How long will my child be in the program?

    The Morrison Home program is set up for long term residential care. The average length of stay at Morrison Home is 1-3 years. Though this is the average length of stay for most students, the length of stay is determined by the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and the students individualized treatment plan.

  • How long are home visits, and how often?

    Home passes will begin when agreed upon by the multidisciplinary team (MDT). Typically, home passes are scheduled for 1-3 days on the weekends. Students are eligible for weekly home passes through positive behavior and progress made in their treatment plans.

  • When am I allowed to visit my child?

    Any approved visitor on the child’s contact list may visit with the student Monday-Friday after 3:30pm, and anytime on the weekends.

  • How often is food provided?

    Morrison Home students are provided three (3) meals throughout the day. Morrison Home students are provided a morning and afternoon snack.  

  • How often will my child receive therapy?

    Morrison Home provides a minimum of two (2) one (1) hour individualized sessions with the licensed therapist. Students participate in group therapy twice per week. Family therapy is also available for the students and families to engage in, when appropriate.

  • How often will my child be able to make phone calls?

    Morrison Home students can make phone calls Monday-Friday after 3:30pm. Phone calls end at 8pm. Students can make phone calls on the weekend between 9am-8pm. Students may only contact people on the approved contact list.

  • When will my child consult with the psychiatrist?

    Morrison Home students meet with the psychiatrist once a month (minimum) and on an as-needed basis.

  • Does Morrison Home accommodate special dietary needs?

    Yes, accommodations are made for special dietary needs based on physician’s orders or religious dietary restrictions.
